Why at home euthanasia?
While it may be the most challenging part of our job, it is also an essential and deeply meaningful service that allows pets to have a peaceful and dignified passing in the comfort of their familiar surroundings, surrounded by their loving families.

Pet Aftercare & Cremation
The Mobile Vet Company offers pet owners three different options for handling the remains of their pets prior to their euthanasia appointment:
1. Home Burial: Pet owners can choose to bury their pets at home themselves. This option allows for a personal and intimate way to lay their beloved companion to rest in a location that holds special meaning.
2. Private Cremation with or without Ashes Back: Pet owners can arrange this with a local company called Pet Paradise to provide private cremation services. With this option, pet owners can choose to have their pet cremated individually, ensuring that they receive only their pet’s ashes returned to them.
3. Department of Environmental Health Pickup and Cremation: Alternatively, pet owners can opt to have the Department of Environmental Health handle the remains. The department will pick up the pet’s body and perform a communal cremation in a large incinerator. With this option, no individual ashes are returned to the pet owner.
These three options give pet owners the flexibility to choose the most suitable way to honor their pet’s memory and handle their remains according to their preferences and emotional needs. Whether they prefer a personal and private burial at home, a private cremation with ashes returned, or a communal cremation arranged by the local authorities, The Mobile Vet Company aims to provide compassionate and considerate aftercare services for families during this difficult time.
