About Dr. Vanessa Pustam
Dr Vanessa Pustam is veterinarian hailing from Trinidad and Tobago. She has an interest in small and exotic animal medicine. A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (UWI) since 2013 she has worked in clinic, house call services, as well as at the University of the West Indies tutoring the next generation of Pre-Med students.
Growing up, Dr. Vanessa spent a lot of time playing sports, exploring about in nature, enjoying the outdoors with her brother and cousins. A reverence for life and nature was nurtured in these many adventures. Many causes are close to her heart including: humanitarian, environmental, animal welfare. As a teen, she volunteered with Trinidad and Tobago’s only no-kill animal shelter for years. Later, as a veterinary student, her externship’s both at UWI (Trinidad) and Ontario Veterinary College (Canada) fueled the passion for science and medicine. Dr. Vanessa continues to advocate for responsible pet care for those that cannot speak for themselves.
She also enjoys learning about human sport medicine and mental health and encourages those around her to live a well balanced life. Not One More Vet.
