The Mobile Vet Company visits Grace Christian Academy
Visiting the school to discuss mobile veterinary services was an enriching experience, allowing us to share the significance of responsible pet ownership and the convenience of accessible pet care with the students.
Our beliefs on educating the next generation
We believe that being an educated pet-owner is integral to creating and providing the best life possible for our animal companions, and it’s never too early to pass this knowledge and skill set to our younger generations. It isn’t all one sided, though – for as much as we provide for our pets, they return the favour in love, slobbery kisses and essential life skills. For example, the skills associated with owning a pet can teach children responsibility, compassion and patience.
Dr. Tracey-Ann and Jesica were given the opportunity to be part of a class’s community helpers session. An invitation to Grace Christian Academy provided us with the opportunity to speak to students about the importance and responsibilities of taking care of our pets at home, as well as share some tips on how to better bond with and take care of your pets.
The students were able to see some of the medical tools we use on a daily basis, such as our stethoscopes. We even brought along our very helpful companion pup Ty Ty so they could listen to his heartbeat!
We would like to express a huge thank you to Grace Christian Academy, Anna Delahunty & Betty Ann Scott, who provided us with this opportunity. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would jump at the chance to interact with students such as these again!
